Belton, TX – On Thursday, April 24, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor choral ensemble, University Singers, will be holding their Spring Concert in the Hughes Recital Hall of Presser Hall on the UMHB campus. This free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
The University Singers will perform Handel’s Coronation Anthem No. 4 and works by Tallis, Duruflé, and others. The concert will also include Stephen Leek’s striking piece, Ngana, based on the indigenous Australian text “ngana” (shark), “mangana” (fish), and lina (waters).
University Singers is a non-auditioned choral ensemble performing both contemporary and traditional literature. The group perform under the baton of conductor Matt Crosby with piano accompaniment by Elizabeth Wirtz.
