March 7, 2007

Belton, TX - For the second straight year, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor athletic department video coordinator Michael Langford has been named At-Large Video Coordinator of the Year by the Collegiate and Sports Video Association (CSVA). Langford will receive his award at the CSVA's annual banquet in San Diego, California on May 19th. The CSVA At-Large Video Coordinator of the Year honors the top video coordinator in NCAA Division I-AA, Division II, Division III and junior colleges. The CSVA also awards Division I Video Coordinator of the Year honors on a conference-by-conference basis.

"It is a really neat honor, especially to get it two years in a row," Langford said. "It always means a lot to be recognized by the guys who deal with the same things you deal with and understand what goes into the job. That makes this special for me."

"Michael does a great job for us and is a real asset to our department," UMHB Vice-President for Athletics Ben Shipp said. "It is nice to see his performance recognized on a national level and we are thrilled of Michael and proud of his award."

Langford became the UMHB Athletic Department's first full-time video coordinator in June of 2005. The native of Waxahachie handles all video needs for each of the Cru's 12 varsity athletic programs.
