ARCHIVE: Senior Voice Recital
Belton, TX – The College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor presents Brooke Beasley, mezzo-soprano, in recital on Friday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Manning Chapel of the Paul and Jane Meyer Christian Studies Center on the UMHB campus. The recital is free and open to the public.
Brooke is the daughter of Brian and Janet Beasley of Austin. A senior music education major, Brooke is a member of One Voice and Concert Choir. She currently serves as president of UMHB’s Collegiate Texas Music Educators chapter and the vice president of the Sigma Alpha Iota Professional Women’s Music Fraternity. Brooke was awarded third place in the Texas Music Educators Association’s Young Artist vocal competition this past June.
The recital will feature songs and arias by Mozart, Fauré, Schubert, Tosti, Beethoven, Barber and Donizetti. Brooke is the voice student of Associate Professor Lisa Clement. She will be accompanied in her performance by Assistant Professor Matt Crosby on piano.
