Belton, TX – This week the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will be celebrating Homecoming. Hundreds of alumni are expected to celebrate by returning to campus and enjoying a series of fun activities and events.
The events begin on Friday with an alumni dinner. After the dinner, hundreds will flock to Walton Chapel for this year’s Stunt Night. Stunt Night is a UMHB tradition that dates back to 1904. The competition pit each of the four classes against each other in a battle of skits, songs, and dance numbers. Later in the evening, the alumni and students will gather for a pep rally, burning of the letters and fireworks. The evening will conclude with a desert party in Millennium Oaks Park.
On Saturday, the first event will be the Cru 5K run. The 5K is open to the public and will start at 8:00 a.m. at the Mayborn Campus Center. The Alumni Association will host a tailgate party at 11:00 a.m. at the Musick Alumni Center & Museum.
The Homecoming football game will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Crusader Stadium. This will be the first Homecoming game to take place in the new stadium. The Crusaders will take on Louisiana College Wildcats.
