City of Belton streets in and around the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will be closed to traffic for University construction projects.
On Monday July 23rd, the University will begin a week-long road re-surfacing project. While this project is underway three streets will be affected. Vann Circle will be closed July 23 and 24. Reuter and James streets will both be closed July 25 through 27.
During this time, travel and parking will be prohibited in these areas. Alternative parking will be available at the Parker Academic Center and in the parking lot located at 10th & College. If you have any special needs during this time, please contact the UMHB Police Department at 295-5555.
Crusader Way, between University Drive and College Street, will be closed beginning June 11th in order to relocate Crusader Way adjacent to the railroad tracks and to construct new parking areas.
Alternate routes include University Drive north of 9th, to Crusader Way, to Loop 121, to 2nd Avenue, to Main Street.
Turner Construction is in charge of construction and traffic zone management. Drivers are encouraged to pay attention to detour signs.
